Odalys Molina, News Anchor
Telemundo 47

Premiere Event for Telemundo 47 60th Anniversary Documentary

Jorge L. Ramos, News Anchor Telemundo 47 (1980-2019)

Allison Strong,
Singer and Actress

I co-created a mini-documentary celebrating the 60th anniversary of Telemundo 47, NBCUniversal Telemundo’s New York station, and their legacy in Spanish-language media. I conducted on-camera interviews and helped shape the documentary’s narrative as the voice of the documentary,  working alongside four talented women and under the mentorship of Odalys Molina, the station’s morning news anchor. The project was featured as a news piece on both NBC News and Telemundo 47’s evening newscast. It also received press coverage in a prominent Spanish-language newspaper, El Especialito, underscoring the cultural impact of the work.

Through culturally grounded reporting, critical analysis, and community-centered storytelling, these articles aim to uplift underrepresented perspectives, and explore the everyday with academic depth and heart.

I explore to find original articles that highlight underrepresented voices and bring local stories to life with clarity and purpose. Whether it’s breaking news, feature stories, or in-depth interviews, through my medium.com platform I'm dedicated to truthful, ethical journalism that informs, engages, and inspires.

This story experience is meant to inform — but also to question, connect, and ignite meaningful dialogue. As the production assistant, narrator, and reporter behind the story, I bring together research, fieldwork, and storytelling to create a news package that reflects the realities and resilience of communities. Each piece of this story is developed with care — from coordinating interviews and gathering visuals, to scripting and narrating the final report.
